Byzabtine Greek Summer School

A Summer School for those who want to learn Byzantine Greek, with three levels from beginners to advanced readers.


Sponsored by the Durrell Association of Ireland and directed by Dr Anthony Hirst, Academic Director of the Durrell School of Corfu

The Byzantine Greek Summer School, which was held at Queen's University Belfast each year from 2002 to 2011, has now moved to the Centre for Byzantine, Ottoman and Modern Greek Studies at the University of Birmingham. It is offered at three levels: Level-1 (Beginners) 29 July to 12 August; Level-2 (Intermediate) 12-26 August; Level-3 (Advanced Reading) 12-26 August. The cost is 442 GBP per two-week course including fourteen nights accommodation. A limited number of bursaries is available.
